About us:

The club board is elected by the general meeting for a specific period of time in accordance with the statutes. The board plans the club’s activities, makes all decisions relevant to the club and represents the club externally.

The current board members are:

Wolfgang

Chairman: Wolfgang Schöbel,

I was born in Vienna in 1973 and grew up in Gerasdorf near Vienna. Since my father was already a fan of the Jaguar brand, this passion was passed on to me at an early age. In addition to my job as a banker, restoring old Jaguar models has been my constant companion for decades, which means that I now own several models. This was my motivation to set up a Jaguar regulars’ table in 2007 to enable like-minded people to exchange experiences.

Secretary (co-opted): Dr. Werner Schostal,

I have always been fascinated by Jaguar vehicles because of their elegant bodies and sporty engines, and in 2015 I fulfilled my dream when I bought my first Jaguar, a Mark 2 from France, built in 1965. Even many years later, every time you drive the Mark 2, it’s a nice feeling to drive such an old vehicle that used to serve as an everyday vehicle for people, and thus also to be part of the history of such a special car. The elegance, sound, smell and other features of my old Jaguar make me feel like I’m traveling back in time. I also enjoy the great driving experience of such an old sporty vehicle that was once a luxury vehicle. “It’s better to have a jaguar under your ass than a tiger in your tank.”

Cashier: Heinrich Winkler, born 30. 04. 1956 in Vienna,

Since early childhood, my main interest was in cars and vehicles of all kinds, as long as they had a gasoline engine.

The love for classic cars developed with the increasing modernization of cars in the 2000s, when more and more electronics became available.

Inspired by my wife, who was enthusiastic about the shape of the XJ, I came to the Jaguar brand.

I came to JDOST through a dear, unfortunately deceased friend who introduced me to the group. I immediately felt at home with like-minded people, I love the regular club evenings and activities (trips, workshops, etc.) and, above all, I appreciate the friendly atmosphere in the club.

I am pleased to be able to join the board as treasurer.
